"Anti natal and first scan"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

Me and my wife have been left extremely disappointed with the hospital. From the moment we were referred to the hospital by our GP after finding out my wife was pregnant the problems started.

Firstly they entered my wife's details incorrectly into the system, meaning we did not get an appointment for the anti natal appointment until we phoned up to query it.

We specifically asked for the scan and the anti natal on the same appointment, however this never happened, mans when we tried to call to change the appointment we were transferred from department for department before being left in a queue for 1 hour!

When we arrived at the hospital we were not given any advise and were even asked if we knew we were having multiple births when we hadn't even had the scan.

Then when we went down to reception to book our next appointment the receptionist was extremely unhelpful by offering us any dates for the next appointment, instead just saying they were booked on any day we enquired about, eventually we gave up and said we would sort out another time.

During the first appointment we had asked the midwife to change the scan appointment, which she said she would do straight away. However, when my wife called (coincidently at the time of the booked appointment we couldn't make) she found out the midwife had not changed the appointment and the receptionist shouted at my wife.

This has been the worst service I have ever received and has left me and my wife stressed and feeling lost when it should be one of the happiest times of our lives!

Because of this we are now exploring other options because we are unwilling to put our trust in looking after our unborn child.
