"RECENT STAY ON MANDARIN A WARD Recent stay on..."

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

I've stayed on this ward previously before and I'd say the level of care has declined a lot .

The doctors especially contradict themselves constantly on what is actually wrong with you and why you have been admitted to hospital.

Notes always going missing , total loss of communication through healthcare assistants, to nurses to the doctors.

I cannot fault the two nurses who looked after myself one if whom was a nurse who was amazing explained everything and made you feel totally at ease and actually made you feel better about being in hospital.

Also the other nurse is especially fantastic with the elderly patients who I find do not get the care they totally deserve.

I sat there on numerous of occasions on my stay seeing patients in bed for hours wanting to get up to go to the toilet or have a wash and nobody would answer to the buzzer.

At times I found I didn't know whether I was coming or going because they tell you . You have to stay in because your blood levels have detiorated and then next minute your going home without even rechecking them or an explanation to what has changed. You also have to wait all day long to finally then be discharged and to get your tablets.

I have been in and out of hospital for all of my life due to my long term health conditions and I'd say this was probably one of my worst hospital stays. I understand the staff/ doctors are overworked but that's there profession I don't want to be in hospital I didn't choose to be there but these doctors and nurses have so they need to be abit more curtious. Not all of them are bad just some .
