"referral waiting times"

My gp referred me to the neurology department eight weeks ago informing me this would be treated as urgent as I was still under care of another dri department and my condition was still not being correctly diagnosed ans treated. I still have heard nothing so I telephoned to see when I would hear to be told there is a 3 to 4 month waiting period before they will send me an appointment worry is how long after that will I wait to be seen. I've been trying to get treatment for my problem since April. This really is not good enough.

Think I will ask gp to refer me somewhere else.

I had similar problem with ent department waiting 3 month for appointment got seen but had to pressure fir scans gp wanted . Have not seen same dr twice so no continuity of treatment abs Dr's disagree on problem so I don't get treated. They said they would do the referral to other departments for investigation but have not. It us appalling
