the HDU care was beyond any thing i expected cant praise them enough

What could be improved

waiting for drugs on release.. post op its just not good to have to sit and wait for several hours for drugs especially when you have a several hour journey home.. saying that the staff at the departure area were most helpful and did every thing possible

surgeon was great.. hdu immediately after was beyond excellent many thanks... ward was ok.. all in all a good experience

Many thanks for your kind comments. It is really encouraging for the HDU team to know that all their hard work and enthusiasm is so well appreciated. We have also passed your comments on to the Departure Lounge staff.

We are endeavouring to speed up the patient discharge procedure and believe that this will be resolved with the implementation of our new electronic discharge process.
