I was recently a patient on ward 3E whiston Hospital, I am also a NHS staff Member, the team on the ward was second to none. Very caring interacted with the patients, checking their patients were cared for at all times, but wanted you to know my story is about what I observed as people are negative about how hospital staff treat elderly.
There was a elderly woman in the ward I was on, and the care the person received was so touching, staff chatted to her, if she buzzed they were there washing and changing her. talking to her. made sure she was eating her meals.
Regular medication. You could see staff really cared about her, saw to all her needs.
Staff nurse Tracy even went above and beyond talking to her son at the end of her shift giving her family advice on care if needed when patient goes home.
Patients have to realise nursing care can be difficult for staff if they are negative.
Try treating the staff as people who deserve respect as they respect their patients.
nurses are not there as just a job They Care.
