"Calling 111 direct"

(as the patient),

I was suffering severe diarrhoea and abdominal pains and after 48 hours called 111. The advisor was very thoroughly and clear in their advice. Due to the possibility of cross- infection I was reluctant to attend any medical facility and 111 was ideal for my purpose. I followed the advice and contacted my GP by phone who resolved my problem. The details of my call to 111 were on my records after only a short time. The advice given was followed and my problem subsided after a further 5 days.
