"Things could not have been better"

Surgery to remove Tumor.

I want to inform anyone who may be going into the Gwent for treatment or an operation, "Don't worry you are in safe hands".

The staff are amazing from the girls doing the Pre Op assessment to the ward staff everyone were very caring and sincere and could not do enough.

Even the dinner ladies were lovely and polite doing a difficult job.

The surgeon Dr Passant was very informative caring did an amazing job with the operation leaving a scar a plastic surgeon would be envious of.

I have heard so many horror stories about the Gwent I was dreading going in, but I tell you all honestly things could not have been better.

In response to a recent posting where a family member complained about the wait to see a Consultant, I understand a number must be booked in as not all patients will attend and each interview will vary in time. Today I watched my wife stand in a queue at Argos for 40 mins while I sat in the car, Thats Life.

Ok the negative, Parking is an absolute nightmare and again no reflection on any staff but if a new Hospital is built out of town this would probably be improved.

The Gwent should have signed up when the TV did a programme on hospital food Top Chefs Cost Savings and Quality Food, whats on offer at the moment is appalling.
