this is in no way directed at the staff at EDGH as they have been so kind and helpful i cannot fault them.
This is Directed at the people that have taken away services and split them between 2 hospitals 17-20 miles apart. My husband had to go into EDGH under urology when there was perfectly good hospital up the road from us the Conquest yesterday i travelled to EDGH there and back doing probably 80 miles with an 8 year old as i had to take her out of school so if i get fined you will be paying the fine as child care is a problem. But i what about elderly and infirm relatives how do they travel that far to visit their partners or relatives in a short answer they probably don't.
Surely this is detrimental to the patients health.
But hay ho the powers that by have decided and everyone else has to fall in line. I have worked on and off for they NHS for over 20years and this is the worse i have seen in patient care making the worry even more by travelling to a hospital in another town,
There is no NHS Choices for the people of Hastings Eastbourne and surrounding areas !!!
Again this is by no means against the staff who have been wonderful just the people who run the trust
"A good hospital up the road"
