"Care of my mom"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

My mom was admitted to this hospital with a suspected stroke. The care of the recussion team was second to none. We were made comfortable and offered tea whilst waiting to see what had happened. The doctor who had to tell us some bad news did so with both care and compassion. She had to be moved to E.A.U. where the staff on all shifts were professional caring and not just for my mom but for all my family. We had to stay at the hospital for 24 hours and we were offered tea toast and biscuits by these lovely nurses who were obviously very busy but still took the time to make sure we were comfortable.

My mom finally passed away the following morning and again we were looked after so well in our grief. The bereavement care too is excellent. When you visit your loved one nothing is too much trouble for them.

I would recommend this hospital and it's staff to anyone.

Thank you so much.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback about our hospital at what must be a very difficult time for you and your family. Please let us first express our sincerest condolences for the loss of your mom.

It is reassuring to know that you feel your mom was well cared for and that our teams were able to make sure you and your family were comfortable during such a sad time. We have passed your thanks and kind words on to the teams in A&E, EAU and the Bereavement Office. Thank you.
