"Orthopaedic foot and ankle clinic"

I had an appointment last Monday after a six week wait and would have given 10 out of 10 for the speed and efficiency of the consultation. However the consultant was fully booked and I went home to await news of an operation date. I received a call within a day or so and agreed a date approx. 1 month ahead with a different surgeon. That same night the projecting screw from a previous calacaneus operation finally broke through the skin and started to weep. I phoned the following morning to try and get a quicker operation but a few days later I have heard nothing. I am concerned that it may get infected before the operation which is still a month away. It looks as if the only course of action is A&E at Southampton General on Monday morning! Such a shame as I have previously had good service from RSH.
