"My visit on 5th november 2015 2015"

About: Freeman Hospital

Upon being admitted onto ward 27 in the cardiothoriac dpt on 5th nov 2015 I was treated with respect, affection, friendliness and dignity. The staff were all lovely, polite, courteous, well mannered and pleasant, as were the registras and the anaesthetist, they relaxed me as I was very worried, it isn't everyday you have a huge electric shock to the heart. I was only in for a minor procedure, being a cardioversion, but the treatment I recieved was beyond reproach, I really felt safe in the staffs hands from entering to leaving the ward, the staff made you feel special and I felt very humble being on a ward where other patients were waiting for surgery and heart transplants. I am so glad the heart unit stayed at Newcastle and didn't go to leeds, we geordies are proud people!. The cardiology dpt gave me the impression that it is like a little factory with lots of little worker ants all with a job to do to their best capabilities and they do it very well in fact excellent! working such long hours they always have a big smile for you (little Angels I would call them, I was amazed upon my visit to observe how the hospital is so well organised, my congratulations go out to all the staff in cardiology for doing a remarkable job every day, as my congratulations go out to all the other departments for doing an amazing job in the care of their patients, I would award the Freeman Hospital 10 out of 10 keep up the brilliant work you all do on a daily basis, well done ward 27.Thank you.

Kind Regards,

Dennis Small,( patient)

P.S The food i recieved on my visit was of the highest standard and very enjoyable.Par excellence.
