Have been volunteering for Drug arm for an extended period of time. It has been a privilege to have the opportunity to be able to meet, interact with and help clients. I have felt that this has been an incredible opportunity that is not available at other similar organisations.
Whilst there was initial training however there has been very little further support, particularly as I have no background in counselling, and as I am not on placement I receive no regular supervision. Further since the program changed at the end of 2014, I have felt that we have lost clients as the once accommodating CAFSS program has become very rigid and it is frustrating to take a day off and not see any clients.
