GP referred my partner on Friday 3pm in a great deal of pain to the Easton assessment unit - great staff.
Eventually admitted and on to a ward at 12.30 that night - told would need a scan.
Told scan would happen Saturday which did not happen -
No food for 30Hrs!
Told Sat Night no scan after waiting all day - allowed to have food.
Moved to another ward on Sunday and told scan would happen - nothing did happen - food allowed at 6pm
Told no food after midnight on Sunday as scan would happen Monday no scan yet!!!!
The ward team are great and keep asking the Scan department when the scan will take place but cannot get a definitive answer.
The scan is important in an attempt to determine the cause of the pain.
This is the third time this year that I have had the pains and each time after a few days it subsides that is why the GP advised getting in for the scan whilst the inflammation and pain were still there. If the inflammation goes away then all this will be a complete waste.
