"Join campaign for more IBD Nurses"

If you visit the NACC website you will see that they are campaigning for more specialist inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) nurses. I would like there to be a petition for more and please one at Wycombe General. I was cared for there 2 years ago and during my long stay there, I quickly came to realise that although caring, I found the staff were very uninformed about IBD. I feel this at times meant that the care I received was not as good as it should have been and unfortunately meant I had some very unpleasant experiences at times. I myself would be more than happy to visit wards were IBD patients are cared for and talk about my time at WGH if it meant that future patients didn't have to go through the same. I must add my sincere thanks though to the consultants, surgeon and nurses who treated me on wards 10 and 12A.
