About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

Last week I was admitted to the hospital after being unwell for some few weeks and being palmed of by my own gp with various in correct diagnosis. I felt so unwell the only resort was to go to the a&e. I was seen so quickly, I was so scared and the staff made me feel better. I unfortunately had to stay in over night which is the only downfall. I was told at 6pm I would have an hours wait for the doctor to see if I needed to stay in over night and it was a good three hours before they told me. Which I can understand that it's a busy place but I do t live close and I needed my family to bring me some belongings for the night. I was upset about staying but the staff nurse in duty kept checking on me and reassuring me. I'm back home now and waiting out patient appointments to the same hospital.

I'm so glad this problem which has been affecting me for a good month has now been diagnosed correctly and I am receiving the correct care I need. Thank you.

Delays, especially in A&E can be so stressful and I am sorry that the A&E staff were not able to get back to you promptly.

However, that you had to stay in seems like a sensible option so that you could be properly monitored.

I do hope that your condition is resolved as soon a possible.

Thank you for letting us know that you are now receiving the correct care.
