"Planned bowel op and gallbladder removal"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

Many many thanks to the surgeon, and the staff in anaesthetic room the lovely angel in recovery who's name I can't remember as I was so drowsy, all the staff on Pendennis who made me feel safe and cared about my comfort and dignity and did the hands on stuff with such compassion and gentleness. Special mentions to a particular nurse on the night shift, so efficient and reassuring, and the student nurse who removed staple stitches so well. My discharge ran like a dream as well with all letters, sick note, meds all with me in time for my pick up at 2pm.

I stayed two nights and witnessed care and compassion to myself and other patients above the call of duty. Every member of staff including in cleaners, food service, nurses clerical people were lovely . My experience was the wonderful NHS at its best, and a lovely group of fellow patients helped as well.
