"stroke team"

I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff who I meet and was treated by from the nurse at reception to the doctor that discharged me as there was a lot of people who were involved. I came to a&e with a suspected stroke after talking to the nurse

I was called very quickly to a room where bloods where taken and history within 10 mins of this I was called again and saw a stroke nurse who was fantastic they really knew their stuff put me through lots of tests and had me ct scanned within 20 mins after this 2 more doctors came to see me and went over the same test as had been done. they were leaving no stone unturned. I was admitted and was taken to pastuer ward which is the stroke ward the staff were very friendly and helpful made me comfortable I was constantly monitored and looked after the next day

I was taken for an ultrasound test ,then an mir scan then put on an ecg machine. the doctor was happy with all the results and discharged me the staff nurse gave me medication to take home and all the info to take it. I cannot thank all the staff who treated me enough for there professional expertise and friendly helpful manner made me feel very at ease in a very scary situation they are a credit to the hospital and I would recommend anybody to use Basildon hospital.
