"Visits to memory clinic at Tolworth hospital"

About: Tolworth Hospital / Memory clinic

(as a relative),

For the past 3+ years my mother has been having 6 monthly appointments at Tolworth hospital for her dementia. She has been under the care initially of Dr Davidson and for the past 1. 5 years nurse Neil Clemenson.

During every visit both my mother and I have felt that it was a very positive and reassuring experience. My mother was treated with the utmost respect and decency and it was so helpful to have such a caring professional to put our questions and concerns to.

She has now been discharged and will be reviewed yearly by her gp. Both of us feel disappointed that we will not have that regular contact with a specialist in the field, particularly when they were so understanding and helpful.

Response from Claire Reid, Senior Patient Experience Co-Ordinator, Patient Experience Team, South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust

Dear Dorsie,

My name is Claire and I am the administrator for the Patient Experience Team. Many thanks for taking the time to provide feedback on the care you and your mother have received at Tolworth Hospital and please be assured I will make sure this is passed onto the team and staff concerned as it is always a pleasure for our staff to hear compliments from patients and relatives.

I will also ensure that your feedback regarding your mother's care being transferred to her GP is passed on and I hope that your mother will continue to receive an excellent service from the GP in the future.

Many Thanks,
