"There isnt anything positive to ..."

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

There isnt anything positive to say except the staff were polite and helpful where possible. They were obviously over worked undermanned and at times poorly coordinated.

What could be improved

The building itself is inadequate. The building looked shabby, unclean and very temporary. There was not enough room in the seating area for the amount of people attending. The layout is poor and it was difficult to hear who was being called by the staff. We arrived at 8.30 pm and the treatment to a small deep cut on the leg was eventually dressed at 12.30 p.m which I feel is totally unacceptable and not very Urgent. The police arrived with a racist, abusive drunk at 9.30, they left him after a short while to carry on his abuse of other patients. However he was attended to before my 9 year old daughter, unacceptable!

I look back on the experience of last sat evening and cant help but thinking,Was that real or did I imagine sitting in a cramped, dirty poracabin for over three anh a half hours waiting for a dressing to a minor wound? Not very 21st century.

Anything else?

Very dissapointed with the whole experience, bar the attention of the expert staff.

This situation surely has to change...soon.
