"My experience of giving birth at medway"

We hear so much about how our NHS is awful but I want to share about my pregnancy experience at medway hospital which was so much better than I could of ever expected : I was cared for so well from the moment I had my first scan to the day I was discharged after spending 5 days in the transitional unit .

The nurses in this hospital 24/7 were caring ,respectful and so helpful they gave me confidence and strength to help me to deliver my baby and they went out of their way to come and visit me days after she was born. The midwife who delivered my baby hugged me and my other half - and they made us take in every moment and enjoy the birth - they didn't once patronise me because I didn't know what I was doing : instead they showed me and taught me things that have made me a relaxed & confident mother - I wouldn't feel like this if it wasn't for my experience - so to everyone from my Sure Start Centre to MCU to the antenatal clinc, the delivery suite, the diabetis clinic,the Pearl Ward,the Transitional Ward , the anaesthetist,all the auxiliary/care nurses and to the volunteers who give you & your visitors tea - I thank you for the most amazing experience ever x
