"Inguinal Hernia Repair"

About: Burnley General Hospital

Arrived Area 6 in good time before 12noon appointment 9th Nov.for right side repair. Body had been given severe gymnasium grief over a two year period.

Was somewhat concerned about the large number of people waiting but soon realised that many were relatives or friends. The staff were extremely efficient keeping everything flowing. Check in easy with everything to hand with not too long a wait before the final pre-op exam. Where every detail was checked and double checked. Then came the final prep before a nice relax in front of the t.v.

(Yes TV!!) before surgery. Damn - forgot my dressing gown... 'not to worry, I'll go and find something for you... and all was sorted.

Eventually the call came - and I went.

No concerns, everything felt and was very safe, comfortable and reassuring.

I was invited to lay back and make myself comfortable while every move was explained as it happened. I woke up not realising it was done. I Thank each and every one of you.
