"Thyroid support"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I recently had an appointment with a doctor at the infirmary. I began by confessing to self medicating and fully expected to be thrown out of the room. I told the doctor that I felt much better after conducting my own research and sourcing my own medication. I'm not in any way saying that I know more than the specialist but the tablets had worked wonders for me. I was surprised that the doctor took no moral ground and was interested in what I was taking and was also willing to conduct more regular and thorough blood tests to keep an eye on me. They sent me for more blood tests straight after and I walked straight in, no queuing or waiting. The person in the bloods sections was lovely and informative. I learnt not to cross my legs as it causes dvt and not to bend my arm after having blood taken as it pools in the elbow crease. A fine service. Thanks all.
