Thank you to all the staff in the clinic who made sure that I was seen quickly after my optician flagged up a concern over possible retinal detachment.
With my optician's letter to my GP, I saw my GP within 3 days on Monday morning - they then wrote a referral letter and phoned Watford Hospital to get me on the list for the Urgent Eye Clinic that day. I was there just before 2pm and was seen about 20mins later by the consultant who was very reassuring.
Great teamwork and a helpful atmosphere made this a much less worrying experience than it could have been.
Thanks again to all involved.
