"Endoscopy"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I attended the endoscopy department for the first time yesterday and was extremely impressed from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. The reception staff were friendly and the admission nurse, Sharon, was lovely and talked me through the process and answered any questions that I had. Tracy, the nurse who discharged me talked me through the procedure that had taken place and what would happen next. I was well informed throughout my visit. The department was very busy and the staff took the time to attend to each patients needs. It is an extremely well run department.

Dear Mr J

Thank you for taking the time to post your Patient Opinion of the Endoscopy Unit at Monklands Hospital.

The staff recognise that having a procedure undertaken can be a very anxious time for patients and the importance of ensuring patients are well informed to reduce stress levels and aid recovery.

I will certainly feedback your comments to the team.

Kindest regards

Ruth
