"Excellent care, wonderful staff."

I was admitted for a Colonoscopy, not a procedure I was looking forward too.

From the moment I arrived I was treated with kindness and courtesy. The whole experience was far better than I expected.

I felt safe and cared for.

The unit was clean and efficient.

Not sure how and why the hospital has a label of 'Inadequate.'

One can only feel very sorry for the Doctors and nurses who are doing a fantastic job under a very difficult financial situation.

Also in the last few weeks we had to use the A&E department. My husband had an accident in his workshop, taking off the top of his finger. Again the staff were excellent, but exhausted.

The day we were there there was an acute shortage of nurses.

The waiting area was full with a 4/5 hour wait. We were seen by a nurse within 10 mins, his finger was examined, bandaged and pain relief offered, 20mins later an x ray was taken. We waited a further 3 hours to actually see a doctor.

Yes it seemed a long time but he had been seen and made comfortable. We did question why some people were attending A&E when a visit to a GP would have been more appropriate.

The staff are doing a fantastic job and don't deserve to be told the service they provide is inadequate, they should be supported!
