"Hip replacement surgery and care"

I have recently had hip replacement surgery on my second hip at Calderdale General Hospital.

The surgery and hospital care were fantastic. They listened to my requests and were extremely supportive. The follow-up care by the physiotherapy team is second to none. They provide a support to patients during and after leaving hospital in addition to their main role in getting the patient to exercise and build muscle strength.

I thank the whole support team for all their help and encouragement. Having spoken to friends who have had similar operations in other areas I know how lucky we are to have such a dedicated team and well-planned support programmes.
