"clinic appointments bladder and bowel service"

About: Bromley Healthcare / Bladder and bowel management (continence)

(as a carer),

I am a carer for my 84 year old disabled mother and I also work full time as a teacher.

I have experienced difficulties being able to book and attend clinic appointments as the appointment phone is not always manned and the message says it could take up to 3 days to respond to a message.

I have been told at work I am not allowed to have time off during working hours unless at lunchtime, my mother is not able to be at morning appointments due to time it takes to get up and ready. the earliest afternoon appointment is 1 pm and I have been informed this is only for new patients, the latest one is 4 pm also only for new patients. yesterday at the clinic I found out there is a twilight clinic but that is fully booked.

I don't know what I can do now

Can I ask that you email me with your contact details so that I can ask the service lead to contact you directly?

Following my response yesterday I understand that your mother was seen on Thursday (two days ago).

I understand that she needed a further appointment in four weeks time after 16.30. I believe all our appointemnts were full at that time however you were given an appointment for 6 weeks time, on the 17th December at 19.00.

The service lead assures me that messages get answered very quickly and it is rare that it takes us three days to get back to a caller.

Once again I am sorry this was difficult for you but I hope you are satisfied with the care and advice you were given.
