"Waiting. waiting waiting"

About: Southampton General Hospital

I came in this morning (3 Nov 15) with my father (75) for a pre op assessment, a talk to the consultant and admission for surgery. I came in at 9 am ( got up at 7am) . I am now sat in a waiting room in day surgery at 20.30 with dad waiting now 4 hours for his bed to be cleaned in f ward not to mention all the other waiting today. Restaurants are now closed.

Machines are empty and I am with an increasingly disgruntled parent with some altziemers .

Surely almost 12 hours so far is excessive. I would welcome a comment on this

I am very sorry to read of your poor experience and hope that matters resolved following your feedback. Please also give the trust apologies to your father for the delay he experienced and I hope he is recovering well from his surgery.
