"Maternity unit unprofessional and..."

I was very unhappy with my midwife, they were very unprofessional and with no compassion to my state. I get there to give a birth to a boy - I was in a state from Friday very tired and need to have induction for the birth. Nothing was to plan, I have rheum arthritis and was not helped by midwife, they were arguing with me, when asked for epidural explanation they said to read the leaflet! I was in dying pain by then. I told the midwife I am not here to arguee and was scared what will it be when the boy will be coming , thankfully to gods there was change in shifts when he was coming and another midwife was there, and I was very happy. If not for the second midwife I do not know what would happen .

Staff in maternity be fore birth treating you as unit , number. Wish they were more compassionate and emphatetic . Post maternity unit very friendly and helpful. In next life I will go private, for me that was one and only pregnancy for many reason.

Please train your staff to cooperate with patient and give some heart to it as you might damage person life forever. The full story I will complain in personal letter. Not to scare anyone but make sure you have the right person next to you- family and midwife included. Bless all, as well as my midwife too, they just need some heart and understanding.
