What I liked
Although I cannot comment on things I liked I on my most recent visit I can say on the
previous visits the female Consultant and nurses concerned showed regard and were very polite.
What could be improved
On my most recent visit to the I noticed that all the high stools were removed except for one hiden away in a dark corner, concidering other patients were also there with back complaints it would a great help if more high stools were available in the waitingroom , and if it is not asking to much a choice of a low level chair or a high stool in the consultation room would be nice, I had to sit on a low level chair which seem much lower than a normal chair and found them difficult to sit and rise from I also found them very uncomfortable I experienced a flare-up in back pain after returning home, and I'm sure other patients feel the same .
Thamk you
Anything else?
I found it upsetting when high ranking member of the hospital team passed judgement without knowing me and was unwilling to listen to my problems I am experiencing , which can I add has also tore my married life in two and deprived my two children of a healthy able dad both are now adults ( both "Working") the first question I was asked was if I was working ( which I am not due to ill health ) when I said no he shut his eyes hung his head and shook it from side to side , "No I am not currently working ,but if I were given the choice I would much rather be working ! I would willingly swap places with anyone in good health .Maybe if a genetic condition I suffer from had been picked up earlier in my life at the age of 20 when I first started to visit the old Sunderland Royal / Sunderland General hospital for treatment for problems I was experiencing things might be a lot different ...I promise you !
I carried on working despite health problems untill I was 38 yrs old
I am very sorry I am on the sick I feel pretty bad about it too !
As usual The Sunderland Royal continues to pass me from one department to another
"Although I cannot comment on things ..."
