"NHS staff that should be very proud of themselves"

About: Worthing Hospital

On 27th October my child was admitted to A&E and then the children's ward after coming in via ambulance. I cannot convey just how fantastic every member of staff was along what was a quite traumatic event.

All staff were reassuring, took time to speak to me, keep me informed, encouraged me to ask questions, check that I had understood things and provide wmotional support too. We arrived at A&E whilst they were closing one part for the nigjt, quote full and expecting another ambulance but they were calm and professional throughout. The staff on the ward also were lovely in thinking about my needs as well as that of their patient.

I have had stays in two other hospitals with my other children and this hospital really stood out as being very aware of my child's and my own needs, both physically and emotionally and working superbly as a team. I felt the whole time that we were in the best hands we could be and that was a very reassuring thing. Thank you Ambulance service, A&E and children's ward, you should all be very proud of yourselves.
