"A & E visit"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

My Mother took ill this morning she had a couple of dizzy turns, the second seemed like a stroke, so rang for ambulance. The person on phone was very good asking questions talking to me until ambulance arrived, which didn't take long. Two ambulance staff came in, by this time she was more like herself. They handled her brilliantly. She is 92. They recommended she go to A & E for more tests. I followed in car. When I arrived she was already in a cubicle and a lot of the tests had already been done. They were very efficient and pleasant and very helpful. A Doctor came in gave her a really thorough check. I just wanted to say, that I was very impressed with the service and cleanliness and they are contacting our Dr. She needs more blood tests. People today are too quick to criticise our NHS, but I have always found service to be excellent, going back to 1980s when I had my 3 children there.
