We were treated with outstanding compassion, professionalism and care from every member of the team - nurses, consultant surgeon and anaesthetist, health care assistants, housekeeper, play specialists!
This outstanding support began from the pre-op assessment where the skills of the nurse were outstanding at allaying fears for my daughter. As a nurse myself it was heart warming to be able to see in practice all that our profession stands for! ( nobody knew I was a nurse). I was sitting with my daughter as a mum, who has the same concerns as every other mum.
I want to share our story as hopefully it will give other children and parents attending this hospital ward great confidence. Thank you to all the team,
