About: Darlington Memorial Hospital

During my many attendances to Darlington Accident & Emergency as a result of my ongoing mental illness, and related self harm I have received a host of abuse from hospital staff.

This includes name calling, questioning my intentions, telling me I have no mental illness and I am making it up. In addition to this I have had nursing staff tell me they are furious with me and that I am unworthy of care/treatment.

In the past staff have also allowed me to leave the Department without a mental health assessment despite often being in states of despair, overwhelmed by suicidal thoughts.

Overall I hate this A&E department and have received nothing but bad care, abuse and passive aggression.
