"Just don't go to this hospital!"

About: The James Cook University Hospital

Honest review 3 years under their care......

The staff make you feel very uneasy,no eye contact

You always walk in with an average of 3 members of staff standing around.

1 receptionist who in between anserwing the phone and chatting you have to wait to be booked in so they can finish the conversation about the Christmas Do! 2 nurses the same who don't meet & greet just standing there chatting about how their retirement is coming up and how they just can't wait blahh, blahh, blahh heard it on every visit for 3 years!

Once your booked in, its take a seat.... you sit..sit abit more... and still sit usually approx after 30mins you are eventually weighed also height taken.

bloods are taken after you have see a Consultant.

This dept. Is so under funded that it is also very well known that after 3 years they discharge out of their care. In the last 12 months my appointment has been cancelled 4 times by the dept plus 1 from myself due to sickness bug.

Changes in patient care is 100% needed!

Nurses need to remember that after 20+ years service you keep your personal life to yourself.

Stop cancelling appointments!

Stop changing review period 3 monthly reviews soon changed to 6 monthly now once a year!

Staff need to introduce themselves & make it clear who they are not all badges/roles are showing!

Consultants need to stop bringing up other patients Xray/MRI scans & revealing the patients details in my case a Jennifer and her Xray of her hand! This is not me!
