I would just like to take this time to really thank everyone in the ENT department for their work and patience with me today. I have severe anxiety and not once did anyone treat me as though my worrying was an inconvenience.
I was involved in all care conversations and can honestly say it's the best service I have ever received on the NHS. Not many people give credit where credit is due and tend to only complain rather than point out the good, which is why I'd like to point out a few things I noticed. The ward was kept clean and tidy throughout the day, nothing was too much to ask when it came to my requests, every half an hour on the dot someone was checking my vitals and making sure I was ok in myself. I was offered food and beverages as soon as I was allowed them and was encouraged to have something even though it would mean the nurses taking time out of their (obviously) busy schedule to make me whatever I requested, not once did I feel like I was being a nuisance, I am petrified of needles and without being condecending I was made to feel comfortable enough to go through with all injections without too much of a fuss this was all down to the care given from the nurses.
Thank you ever so much to all of the nurses on the ENT day patients ward and to the surgeons that put up with me being a wimp! I would, undoubtedly, reccommend your service to my friends and family. You're a credit to The Bradford Royal Infirmary
