My 17 month old daughter had a high temperature on Sunday (18/10/15) after phoning NHS Direct (or whatever its now called) we were told to go to Devon Docs- out of hours bit at Derriford. After this we were told to go to CAU on floor 12 and we later had to stay overnight.
Overall it was a fantastic service. I felt that all the staff had fantastic level of empathy, understanding and humanness (if that's a word). It really helped me and my wife deal with what was a stressful situation. We also phoned the next day after discharge after we noticed some more worries- we were told to pop back up and the doctor saw us within an hour.
I cant praise the service enough- I thank heaven that we don't have an American privatised healthcare system. Touch wood, my daughter is now back to her normal self, and I have been able to return to work- Thank you NHS.
