"Outstanding team - example of the NHS at its best"

I visited the GUM department of the Medway Maritime hospital last week for a routine check up. The team that work in that department are outstanding and are a real asset to the hospital. I was seen within no time of arriving and the Nurses that dealt with me were extremely pleasant and helpful.

I mentioned that I had wanted to receive the implant in my arm in the future, the Nurse provided me with lots of information and discussed this with me. The nurse then instructed me that it is a service they provide within their department and they would ask the doctor for their availability for the following week to get the implant put in. To my absolute delight, the Doctor on duty had agreed to do it there and then (even though it was well past home time), the Doctor had the implant in in no time and both him and the Nurse assisting kept me chatting and laughing throughout so much so I didn't even notice the needles (I have a fear of them).

I unfortunately lost the piece of paper I had with their names on but I would like to thank the team that dealt with me that evening, they were so helpful, friendly, professional and courteous towards me, a shining example of how I wish all hospital visits could be.
