"Experience at william Harvey A&E"

About: William Harvey Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My other half complained about a bad back / severe kidney pain / crying.

Almost 10 hours later they finally managed to:

look at her

forget about her about a dozen times

waited for her to walk up to the doctors room to ask about her CT

Had the CT staff tell the docs what she should have

have an U/T scan, then they recommended a CT! !

kept her waiting 2 more hours, only to say they couldn't find a problem! ! rubbish and the staff we came into contact with in the A&e ward should be ashamed of themselves, couldn't even work as a team! ! no handing the "baton" over with regards to patient progress, care. No command and control, no ethos of care!

I will avoid that place no matter how sick I get, other places in Kent will be my destination!

I am sorry that you did not experience the high standard of care that we aim to provide and I will ensure that the staff receive this feedback.
