"Experience at william Harvey A&E"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My other half complained about a bad back / severe kidney pain / crying.

Almost 10 hours later they finally managed to:

look at her

forget about her about a dozen times

waited for her to walk up to the doctors room to ask about her CT

Had the CT staff tell the docs what she should have

have an U/T scan, then they recommended a CT! !

kept her waiting 2 more hours, only to say they couldn't find a problem! ! rubbish and the staff we came into contact with in the A&e ward should be ashamed of themselves, couldn't even work as a team! ! no handing the "baton" over with regards to patient progress, care. No command and control, no ethos of care!

I will avoid that place no matter how sick I get, other places in Kent will be my destination!

Thank you for taking the tme provide us with your feedback of the WHH A&E department. I am sorry that you did not experience the high standard of care that we aim to provide and I will ensure that the staff receive this feedback. We are working hard to deliver our improvement plan for this important service for our patients but we clearly still have some way to go.

Once again thank you for feeding back to us.

Helen
