I have chronic pain in my womb area, so was referred by my doctor to a gynaecology specialist in irvine central hospital.
It was pretty easy to find and the unit was well signposted. There were a few areas to park in but at half 1 in the afternoon they were filling quickly; I think we got the last space.
The waiting and reception area was easy to find and was small and wasn't overwhelming, which is important to me personally as I suffer from severe depression and anxiety.
Being a gynaecology unit, it had some kids stuff and books to keep them occupied. I think it could have been a bit easier sitting for 30 minutes if there were some health and wellbeing magazines.
My appointment with Dr Agur was fantastic. He was very polite, seemed to know exactly what he was talking about, and gave me a step by step of what is happening, and the options I have moving forward. He genuinely seemed like he knew everything on my file, was compassionate and understanding. I couldn't have asked for a better consultation. Definitely 5 out of 5.
