"Falls Training at Care Home"

The falls training delivered by Sadie Bell from the Falls Team was very informative and professionally delivered to the senior staff. We all thought the guide to action tool that was then implemented in the care plans was excellent as it supported staff to know what additional factors to look for in reducing the risk of falls and enabled the staff to recognise their scope of practice and recognise when a referral was needed, staff were informed through group supervision.

Since the training our awareness of reducing falls risk has improved and we feel better abled to manager patients at higher risk of falling. An analysis of our falls numbers shows a decline in our number of falls since receiving the training.
