"Patient information"

About: King George Hospital

Why do you not send out an information leaflet with an appointment letter for a TWOC?

I have gone online and found out what is involved from Guys, Princess Alexandra Hospital Harlow and Sandwell because you choose not to tell patients what will happen during the procedure and the day.

Is this so they have things done they have no idea they can refuse?

Patients don't know to bring a change of clothing, something to read, they don't know they will be there for hours, if they can leave or not, that they will have a scan, could be recatheterised or taught how to self-catheterise.

Why do you not let patients know what to expect?
