"Hospital feedback"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

Went to A&E due to an intense pain which i pinpointed to my left kidney, waited around 5 hours to be seen which to be fair i expected.

Was kept in overnight and put on morphine etc. In the morning i had a CAT scan, they found a 3mm kidney stone in my right kidney.....which wasn't at all related to the pain i orginally went in for which was on my left side....the kidney stone found was purely coincidential, the point i'm trying to make is that i saw 3 doctors, told all of them that the pain was clearly on my left side and was sent home the next day for something that wasn't related to the problem i'd gone to the hospital in the first place for.

Even my local GP was baffled, so what caused the pain on your left side they asked me, Lol you tell me, you're the doctor I said. This was 2 months ago even today i have no idea what caused me the serve pain on my left, i just hope it's nothing serious.

Very disappointed.

Dear Terry

We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the care and treatment you were provided during your visit to our Emergency Department and hope that you are feeling much better. Our teams work hard to provide safe and compassionate care to all patients that come to us. We sorry if this didn’t happen in this instance. Thank you for raising it with us.

Your feedback is really important to us and we have sent it over to the team in the Emergency Department.

Kind regards

Barts Health NHS Trust
