"Amazing care"

About: Leicester General Hospital

Thankfully I haven't had too much experience of hospitals but I really couldn't fault the care, expertise and professionalism that I encountered as a day patient on Ward 18. My surgery wasn't until the afternoon so I had a fairly long wait from 7.30am but I was happy to read the book that I had brought with me and I never felt at any time that I was forgotten. Individual staff were always asking if I was alright and keeping me up to date with where I was on the list for theatre and I appreciated the fact that I was brought some water to sip for a short time when it was clear that my surgery was in the afternoon.

One of things that was evident in the Ward was the positive and happy attitude of all the members of staff. At no time did I feel anxious or worried and I think that was down to the friendly atmosphere and caring attitude.

Thank you all for making the whole experience a positive one. You are all doing an amazing job.
