So after anight of really bad pain in my ear I had no choice but to go to a&e as my doctors was not open. The receptionist and triage nurse saw me within minutes and listened carefully to my problem and explained what would then follow . Within the next 10 minutes I was seen by a doctor who was welcoming kind reassuring and helpful. They examined me carefully then took time to explain what had happened to my ear and why they wanted me to see an ENT specialist. The doctor then sorted my prescription for antibiotics and made some calls that meant I could see an ENT specialist straight away at Bradford Royal Infirmary even though the ENT Department for outpatients was closed on a Saturday. The Doctor was then very reassuring about my condition and put my mind at rest albeit I had a serious problem. The quality of care and consideration was outstanding . The care I subsequently received at Bradford was also impressive. Thank you Airedale, I am very grateful to you.

Thank you very much Alastair for your wonderful feedback regarding the care you received by all staff in the Emergency Department at Airedale General Hospital.

It is always gratifying to receive comments of appreciation which, amidst the constant pressures in the NHS, are a real boost to staff morale and I shall copy your comments to those who were involved in your care.
