I had a great experience giving birth at St Mary's birth centre in September 2015.
The staff I met there are all passionate about helping women (and their partners) give birth in the best possible environment and in our case it worked out brilliantly!
I received great care at antenatal appointments and on one occasion when I came in thinking my waters had broken (when they had not!) - the midwifes did all the necessary checks and didn't make me feel awkward about coming in. They were extremely helpful and supportive.
As to birth itself, I was welcomed and we were taken care of throughout the birth. A calm, confidence and comforting voice were key to helping me relax as my husband and I were discretely accompanied through birth.
And as a lovely plus, we got offered tea, toast and jam just after labour was over, and were moved to a lovely room to spend the night with our newborn. I would highly recommend this place to give birth.
