"BEACH WARD -If only there was more like this..."

My Dad (John Lebbon) has just spent almost 3 months with you and I have nothing negative about the care he was given. Sadly his health is poor and we as a family have found that very difficult to cope with as it has been such a sudden decline in his mental health.

However despite my private tears (and sometimes public) I never walked away from him worrying that he wouldn't be looked after in my absence. The staff were always there and although they work long hours under very challenging situations, they were cheerful approachable and Dad clearly had made a connection with each of them.

As I write this I am still sad that Dad is no longer in your care, and I just wish every person that works within the mental health sector had the same care and dedication as yourselves, sadly they don't.

If anyone is reading this who has a loved one admitted to Beach Ward, I can only state they will get the best possible care , they might lose the odd pair of trousers or slipper but does that really matter when they will be looked after and kept safe.

Thankyou all for keeping Dad safe.......and if he could,, I know he would also say Thanks.

Best Wishes Linda Graham and Johns family x

Thank you for your lovely comments. It is our aim to make carers feel as confident as possible that their loved ones are in safe hands. We really do appreciate that this is always a difficult time for all concerned.
