"My hip replacement"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital / Trauma and Orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had my right hip replacement in mid July this year, having had my left hip replacement in June last year. Again a very good experience generally. I wondered why my wound this time round, was closed in a different way, I discovered at my follow-up appointment, that this had been carried out strictly for my benefit, as I reported being in distress towards the end of the procedure, having had a spinal anaesthetic. Thank you for being so considerate! Although living alone, I managed really well from the outset, and made a full recovery so quickly - thank you again Mr Ingham and your excellent team.
