"Rude and dont seem to care about there patients..."

A family member of mine went to the hospital the other day with a terribly swollen foot and alot of pain in that area, she was seen but experienced rudeness by all members of staff, they did not seen to even care all they did was x-ray her foot and then sent her home, one day later foot pain got even worse and swelling turned all colours of the rainbow she contacted 111 as after her bad experience in the a&e department she did not wish to go back and ask then to check it out, she explained her symptoms and was told that she's needs to go to the hospital for surgery asap as the foot had turned septic and she had to have an operation that same day she called 111. i am extremely annoyed by the way she was treated by the A&E department who did not seem to care and were rude, i find it hard how the hospital at first did not do there job properly and that she has been told different things and caused her to worry and stress by being first sent home and then told she will need an operation asap only one day after being seen by A&E. Terrible service from that department, but i am thankful she has been seen and being treated now.
