I found telephone responses to my enquiries were handled efficiently and respectfully.

What is more impressive is not whether a telephone call is answered quickly but the fact that all the information a patient would need to make a choice as to the appropriate consultant specialising in for example back pain can be found on the BMI website.

My husband and I have always narrowed down the consultants who are suitable for particular health conditions by making full use of the BMI website and taking it from there.

We have both had operations carried out at this hospital and have nothing but praise for the consultants, health care teams and catering staff, all of whom have made our inpatient care very comfortable.

I consider rating a hospital only two stars for not answering the phone as quickly as a potential patient demands is unreasonable.

Receptionists do not carry out operations or provide medical care to patients.
